Harvest Caterers is seeking ambitious cooks to join our Rockville kitchen team! Cooks will assist in the preparation of delicious dishes for our corporate dining offices. You will perform kitchen tasks such as prepping work stations and ingredients for assigned recipes. The ideal candidate will be able to function in a fast-paced environment, be quick and diligent, and be able to work as part of a team.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Follow and prepare recipes created by Sous Chef for corporate dining meal services.
Label and stock all ingredients so they can be organized in an easy accessible fashion.
Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting & cooking meat, etc.
Take on basic cooking duties such as preparing sauces, boiling food, etc.
Prepare simple dishes such as salad bar prep.
Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen and work space.
Ensure all food and other items are stored properly.
Comply with nutrition and sanitation guidelines.
Perform other kitchen duties as assigned.
You need to have proven experiences as a prep cook.
Knowledge of health and safety rules in the kitchen.
A team player with great communication skills.
Patient with an ability to stay focused under pressure.
You need to have- open availability weekdays, weekends and nights.
