Administer and promote the company Quality Management System in accordance with company and customer requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities
•Establish procedures for maintaining the highest standard of quality, reliability and safety.
•Determine and enforce, through Quality Circles, quality and safety requirements in accordance with company needs based on current regulations and state of the art product development.
•Organize and promote company wide quality improvement efforts.
•Evaluate and develop improved techniques for the control of quality, reliability and safety.
•Directly responsible for implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System, reporting on the performance of the System for the Management Review and as a basis for improvement of the system.
•Administer the Non Conformance, Corrective Action, Preventive Action and Suggestion programs.
•Act as a liaison with external parties on matters relating to the Quality System.
•Perform other tasks as assigned.
Experience, Training and Job Qualifications
•Must have minimum of 5 years experience in manufacture of fabricated metal products performing duties similar to those defined above. Must have formal training/experience in Quality. Degree in Engineering/Manufacturing Technology with experience in Statistical Process Control is highly desirable.
•Must have excellent verbal and written communications, and organization skills with the ability to work well with a wide range of personnel.
•Must have excellent computer skills including database, spreadsheet, and word processing programs.
•Must be able to travel as required in support of assigned responsibilities.
•Willingness and ability to abide by Company work, safety, attendance, and all other rules.
•Well organized and self-motivated to handle multiple projects and a wide variety of duties with minimum supervision. Must be able to effectively train and direct the activities of others.
•Must be highly detail oriented and able to develop consistent, accurate, thorough documentation of all work in accordance with Quality Procedures.
•In all actions, demonstration of a commitment to perform quality work and meet all project schedule milestones, while building a positive relationship with coworkers, customers, and outside suppliers through professional conduct.
•Good physical health to be able to occasionally work on the production floor for extended periods as required in support above assigned areas of responsibility.
•Ability to see with at least 20/40 corrected vision in the best eye.
•Ability to hear telephones and conversations at normal volume
•Ability to lift 15 pounds to shoulder height.
